Veterinarian Job Openings

The Gregory Animal Clinic has an opening for a mixed animal associate veterinarian. The practice is currently staffed by two DVM, 3 veterinary technicians, 2 assistants, and 2 office personnel. Gregory is located a short distance from the Missouri River in south central South Dakota. The facility has recently been expanded and remodeled and now includes a SA surgery, 2 exam rooms, kennel room, isolation room, and treatment area. Companion animal services include digital radiography, dental radiography and scaler/ polisher, Abaxis lab analyzers, and ultrasound. Both portable and stationary hydraulic chutes (including tilt) are used to provide service for bovine clients. The clinic has a neonatal calf hospitalization room, dedicated area for bovine obstetrics, and corral space and adjustable alley for processing cattle. Arms free ultrasound units and Lane semen testing equipment are used in providing reproductive services.

The practice is currently a 60:40 mix food animal:companion animal. The large animal is predominantly cow/calf with some smaller feedlots and backgrounding operations. We are seeing growth is small ruminant numbers. The practice also serves the Burke Livestock Auction. On call responsibilties are shared equally by the veterinarians. A Nebraska license is required as well as Level 2 national accreditation. A practice vehicle and all equipment are provided.

Outdoor activities are abundant year round with both large and small game hunting opportunities and some of the very best walleye fishing found anywhere. The community has an excellent school system and a large number of professionals. A new hospital and clinic are staffed by four MD's and four PA/NP.
