The SDVMA Scholarship Foundation was established to promote the advancement of veterinary medicine through scholarships to students of veterinary medicine. Since its inception in 1997, thousands of dollars have been invested in education and future generations.
The foundation is managed by a seven‐person board of directors . Membership is open to anyone sharing in the goals of the foundation and non‐director members are encouraged to participate on one of the three standing committees: Finance, Publicity, and Awards. An annual meeting for the foundation is held during the SDVMA annual meeting.
